About FGC Note
The Origin Story
As a player who enjoys playing multiple characters, I often face a problem.
Whenever I pick up a new character or game, my mind goes blank. I don't know what knowledge I'm lacking, and it's hard to consolidate a game strategy.
I felt I needed a canvas to organize my thoughts visually:
What options do I have at different ranges?
How can I apply pressure (Oki) after a combo?
How do I punish those annoying moves?
FGC Note was born from these needs.
Current Status
FGC Note aims to be more than just a practical learning tool; it aspires to be a vital content-sharing hub for the Fighting Game Community.
I hope players can benefit from community insights, including deep dives into mechanics, tournament analysis, and patch discussions. After all, studying is exhausting—sometimes it's nice to just appreciate high-level play or chat about the game.
Roadmap
Video Upload Support: Convert uploaded videos into GIF-like animations.
Breaking Language Barriers: Built-in translation features so players like me, who don't speak Japanese, can easily read high-quality guides from the JP community.
Community Interaction: Adding a comment section for readers to give direct feedback to authors.
Multi-Game Support: The goal is to support as many fighting games as possible, especially older or niche titles where learning resources are scarce and precious. Currently, the site only supports Street Fighter 6 (my main game), but the next planned title is 2XKO.
Enriching Content: Promoting the site to a wider audience and encouraging players to create content.
Need Some Help
Assets Assistance: The 'Gamescene' feature lacks many assets because I'm not very good at capturing clean action shots from games. If you know a better way to do this, please help me out.
My current method is documented here: jaes1237712/fgcNote_GameSceneFeedback: Bugs are inevitable. Your reports and suggestions (feature requests, UI improvements) are incredibly helpful to me.
Support for More Games: My knowledge of fighting games is limited, and I'm not sure if the current features will translate well to other games. If you have ideas for other titles—especially 2XKO—please feel free to contact me.
